Cutler Real Estate asked Rebekah a few questions so you can get to know her better, and here are Rebekah's replies.
1. What is your professional/educational background?
I have a second career in nursing. In 2013, I received my associate of applied science in nursing, and I continue to work on a PRN basis in a facility that provides acute hospital care with rehabilitation services. In August 2018, I completed my real estate courses at Honduras college and received my real estate license in September 2018. My first home sale was my own home. In my first year, I have had 4 closings with 1 under contract.
2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?
I had a life-changing event that led me into my real estate career. In Feb 2018 the hospital that my husband and I worked for closed suddenly. Thankfully we both quickly found new employment but it created a need to sell our home and move. During this process, I met 3 real estate agents. The 3rd agent gave us the experience we were looking for and the process of selling our home was so exciting and fun that it sparked a new passion in me. I wanted to sell houses.
3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?
I moved with my husband and son, to my current home in Green in March this year. Location wise, Green is a good halfway point for myself and my husband's jobs. The community of Green is a growing city with phenomenal schools. We love our home too. It’s a split level with a 2nd garage and a spacious 2.5 acres that make it feel like country living while still just a 2-minute drive into town.
4. How do you spend your free time?
I spend my free time playing and talking to my son and hanging out with my husband. I’m always roping my husband in to help me plan an event from our wedding to surprise birthday parties and most recently a family reunion. Or we like to do projects around the house. Most recently we breathed new life into an old dining room set. I also love to read a lot!
5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?
- My phone (photos, information)
- My ring
- My sewing machine
- My son's “going home” outfit
- My memory box
6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?
