Cutler Real Estate asked Al a few questions so you can get to know him better, and here are Al's replies.

1. What is your professional/educational background?

I have been in professional sales for 20+ years. I began my sales career in insurance and have owned 3 successful insurance agencies. After selling my insurance agencies, I entered the world of real estate and have never looked back! I have a BS in Food & Nutrition Science from Indiana University of PA in addition to a Post-baccalaureate degree in Accounting.

2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?

I chose a career in real estate as I truly enjoy meeting different, interesting people from various walks of life on a daily basis. My clients have their own stories and often their stories are wrapped up in the property they’re selling or buying. Getting to know new people ensures that every day in this fast-paced career is different and engaging. Real estate allows me to flex my creative muscles as it provides daily opportunities to showcase my imaginative side - from choosing the perfect photos to highlight a property, to helping stage a property to coordinating client appreciation events! Selling or buying a house is a huge life event – it’s one of the biggest transactions many people will ever undertake – and as my client's Realtor, I am the person by their side throughout the whole process. I am there to provide my clients with reassurance and peace of mind with my extensive negotiations skills and extensive experience in the market.

3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?

My wife & I just moved to Italian Village! We love the old world charm coupled with the recent revitalization in this Downtown Columbus community. Being able to walk to events, restaurants and shopping is great!

4. How do you spend your free time?

I like to spend time with family & friends, work out, love to eat at new places in Columbus and take advantage of the great Metro Park system in Central Ohio.

5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?

  1. Wedding Ring
  2. Family photo albums
  3. My car
  4. College yearbooks
  5. My bike

6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?

10/10. Al walked me through every step of the process in which I wasn’t the least bit familiar. Helped make a complicated process a fairly easy one at the end of the day. Knew my neighborhood and my market very well. Overall great experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell, inexperienced or otherwise!

We really enjoyed having Al as our real estate agent. He was always friendly and very timely. We lived 2 hours away when looking for houses and Al was always willing to video call us if needed to help with the house search. We would definitely recommend Al to anyone looking to buy a house and we plan to continue using him for all future housing needs! :)

We originally were not working with Al on purchasing a home. However, our realtor was suddenly unable to work with us due to personal reasons. Al, being his manager, stepped in and quickly made sure that we were still covered. Although we did not expect to work with Al, I'm glad we ended up being his client. He's been really attentive, available and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we're happy with our services. He respects what his clients want, but also offers knowledgeable advice. 15/10 would recommend!

Al is wonderful to work with! I was a first-time home buyer and very uneducated about the process so I relied on him heavily to walk me through each step. I really appreciated how responsive he was to my texts, calls, and emails. He listened to what I wanted and helped me find the PERFECT place in the neighborhood I was set on living in. As we looked at different options I felt that he had my best interest in mind and was my advocate during the contract negotiation and closing process.

Al Marsico is the best realtor that I have dealt with . He not only helped us find the type of home we were looking for but also went out of his way to help us deal with union bank . Without Al we could not have purchase and loan go through . I would highly recommend AL to my friends

First and foremost Al is a very nice person and very easy to work with. He was tremendously helpful during my home-buying experience. He was an extremely knowledgeable resource who went above and beyond the call of duty on several occasion to help ensure certain important details pertaining to the home-buying were completed. The level of professionalism, customer service (follow up/personal touch) is what I appreciated the most from Al- especially through some of the trials and tribulations one will inevitably encounter in the home-buying experience. You want and need someone like Al in your corner to support and bat for you during those times. I certainly recommend him to anyone looking for a new home.

I can't imagine there are many other buyers out there quite as picky as we were! And having picky clients in such a HOT market certainly makes the job a challenging one....but Al was the guy to get it done! My husband and I relocated to the Columbus area just eight months prior to closing on our spacious, private, gorgeous, gem with stunning countryside views (soooo in love with our new home, if you can't tell!). After being in Columbus for only four months, we decided we would start casually browsing the market to get an early start on things. We started going to open houses and were even calling listing agents directly to schedule our own showings. Kind of a stressful task to take on while adjusting to a new area and new careers, but thankfully that's how we became Al's new buyers! As I mentioned before, we were definitely not the easiest of homebuyers to please! We gave Al a pretty wide budget to work with and had no style in mind. The house could be new, could be old, could have a pool, be in the country, be in a subdivision, could need lots of work, etc, etc. Options were wide open! After dragging Al to dozens of showings, many of which were scheduled the same day, we finally found THE ONE! Now the fun part-- Negotiations and Closing. This is where Al stands out as an exceptional professional. Not only was Al attentive during the house-hunting process, but he kept with it even after contracts were signed and the ball was essentially in our court. Al is entirely knowledgable about this market, this area, and real estate law in general. Being new to Ohio, we had LOTS of questions and Al was always available, responsive, and open to help us through the process. So great to work with someone with your best interest at the forefront!

Al Marsico is the best real estate professional I have ever worked with. Everything you want in an agent. Amazing preparation in all aspects. He had a well developed plan to sell my house and it sold in less than 4 hours! The buyer actually offered more than the asking price. Thanks Al!

Al was a pleasure to work with during our new home search and purchase. Given his knowledge in the downtown Columbus market, he was put “go-to” guy! He got the answers back to all our questions in a timely manner. No stones were left unturned. Thanks again, Al!
